The weblog has been pretty much at the bottom of my priority list lately, which should be pretty obvious from the lack of posting. Jane is into her last six-week class in her MBA program and this one ends with a ~200 page paper due. Add to that the two nights a week of her accounting class and we're pretty busy. Throw the baby, due in early October on top of that and you have one very unhappy and busy Jane.
So rather than complain about the crap going on, here's a quick update of whatever random stuff I can think of:
Here's the remains of the old engine from the camper. Its been stripped down as far as it can go without making the huge mess from taking off the oil pan, which I'll remove to sell on eBay. The injection pump is off also, and while I'd like to eBay it too, I'll hang on to it until I'm certain I don't need any parts.
It sure felt nice to get in a couple of hours wrenching on this thing today. I'm on the calendar for next Saturday too, so I'm hoping for more progress. At the very least, I'll clean up extra parts to sell off and maybe paint some stuff on the new engine.
Work has me beat this week. Sitting here (not) doing work stuff at 11:30 at night.
I still owe my brother $50 and a weblog for his band. Remind me to tell you the story of the $50, or Molly or someone else that was there could fill in.
Ellie has sensed that this will be a very stressful month and decided that this is the perfect time to insist that she be potty-trained.
German eBay progress: I've won an item. Now to figure out how to pay for it and get it here.
Okay, off to bed!

Not getting much accomplished today, which is just fine by me.
I've been sitting at my desk, putting Panther on Molly's G4 PowerBook and watching my eBay auction.
The huge news of the day is that I've found a guy on TDIClub who will take delivery of eBay items in Germany and ship them here to the US. This is huge, as most German sellers won't ship outside of Germany, and they have scads of parts I need for the camper project.

Veggie oil conversions (also referred to as WVO (Waste Vegetable Oil)) take a bit more dedication than my easy runs to the B20 pump in Delaware. First you've got to obtain some oil, usually waste fryer oil from a restaurant or kitchen, and you've got to at least filter it before using it. The Diesel engine still won't start on the WVO though, so you've got to put it in a supplemental fuel tank, and rig a bypass system to make sure that you start and shut down the engine on regular or Biodiesel fuel. The extra fuel tank and bypass system, is the $800 kit that Jay doesn't like.
Snowball's blog got a great re-design by CSS goddess Colleen. Take a look, and say, "Hey! That looks nothing like a TypePad site!"
Kinda reminds me that a redesign is in my future.......as soon as the playfort is built, I build screens for the front windows, I build Jane her home theater in the basement, I rebuild the engine I've got in the garage for the camper, and some other crap.
